All-Libraries Day Symposium
Wednesday May 21, 2025 1:00pm - 1:40pm CDT
How-To Media Guide for Librarians and Curators: The talk will cover storytelling in the Libraries. The new how-to media guide explains how librarians and curators can publish on the Libraries News site and get coverage in The Record and other media. The guide also outlines some helpful tips for successfully engaging with external media.

Overhauling A/V Digitization on West Campus: This talk will cover the goals, procedures, and recent updates to the audiovisual capture workflows used in the West Campus workspace for legacy archival media, especially magnetic tape and optical disc.

Reimagining Graduate Student Library Orientation: An Interview-Based Approach: Traditional methods, such as surveys, specialized symposiums, and individual or group sessions, have been employed by academic librarians to determine how best to support graduate students. This presentation shares how quick, one-on-one interviews with grad students can uncover what library services and resources they actually use, want, and need.
